Buddy our CCO “Chief Canine Officer”
Our beloved Buddy crossed over the Rainbow Bridge October, 13, 2023 to be an angel in heaven and join his siblings Roxie, Rocky, Millie, Walker and Momma. Buddy was so blessed to offer his love everyday to all who needed him whether he just glanced at you from across the lobby or for the sick, lonely or those who needed his loving energy, his quiet soul would cater to your every need. The power of his love will never be forgotten by the people blessed by his presence. Know he went from a tough start as a rescue to a glorious life and in the end he was loved by thousands!
Fly high in heaven Buddy, until we will see you again!
Buddy’s story
Buddy was rescued from a High Kill Shelter in Downey in April, 2013. Buddy was so abused he required a 9 vertebrae surgery, extensive rehabilitation, physical therapy, massage and hydro treadmill treatments.
After 3 months of constant care (every day at Bodycentre), he received lots of attention from the staff and clients while recuperating. His gentle soul grew on all of us and he became the lobby greeter! Clients look or ask for him as he spends time under his blanket in the lobby or he never misses a treat in our kitchen!
Buddy is now a permanent resident in our lobby with his gently swagger he may just sit alongside you while you wait for your appointment or you might get a sweet stare from underneath his blanket. Often napping in the sun he will spend quality time with you only if you reach for him. Rest assured he makes everyone laugh and is a large part of the relaxation experience.
